Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport and be welcomed by our representative, who will assist you in transferring to your hotel. After checking in, relax and prepare for an evening sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square, a historical and cultural hub of the city. Explore the Hanuman Dhoka Palace, once the royal residence, and witness the Living Goddess Kumari’s house, where the living goddess is worshipped. Enjoy the lively atmosphere of the square, filled with historic temples, courtyards, and ancient architecture.

Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour

After breakfast at the hotel, begin your day of cultural exploration by visiting some of Kathmandu’s most famous landmarks:

  • Pashupatinath Temple: This sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Nepal. Located on the banks of the holy Bagmati River, it’s an important site for cremation rituals and a place of spiritual significance.
  • Bouddhanath Stupa: One of the largest and most iconic stupas in Nepal, Bouddhanath is a center for Tibetan Buddhism. Surrounding the stupa are dozens of monasteries, and the area is rich with Buddhist culture and rituals.
  • Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple): Sitting atop a hill, this ancient stupa offers breathtaking views of Kathmandu Valley. It is a holy site for both Buddhists and Hindus and is famous for its swarming monkeys, which have given the site its popular nickname.
  • Patan Durbar Square: Located in Lalitpur (Patan), this UNESCO World Heritage site is a gem of Newar architecture, home to impressive temples, shrines, and the ancient Krishna Mandir, built in stone, and the Golden Temple, a significant Buddhist monastery.

After a day of exploration, return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Chitwan

After breakfast, drive or take a domestic flight to Chitwan, home to the famous Chitwan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its diverse wildlife and lush landscapes. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in and enjoy a delicious lunch. The afternoon will include an introduction to the park and a brief slideshow on the wildlife and conservation efforts of the region.

In the evening, enjoy a cultural performance with a traditional Tharu stick dance, offering you a glimpse into the indigenous culture of the region. Overnight stay in Chitwan.

Day 04 & Day 05: Jungle Safari Activities in Chitwan

For the next two days, you will engage in exciting jungle safari activities. Your time in Chitwan will be spent exploring the lush wilderness of the national park with a variety of thrilling activities, all on a full meal plan basis (all meals included). Activities may include:

  • Elephant Ride: Ride on an elephant through the jungle as you search for wildlife, including the one-horned rhinocerosbengal tigers, and various species of deer, monkeys, and birds.
  • Jungle Walk: Take a guided walk through the forest with a naturalist to observe the local flora and fauna and learn about the ecosystem of the park.
  • Canoeing: Enjoy a tranquil canoe ride along the Rapti River, where you can spot wildlife along the banks, including crocodiles and various bird species.
  • Village Tour: Visit the nearby Tharu Village to experience the local culture and traditions of the indigenous Tharu people, who have a unique way of life.
  • Elephant Breeding Center: Learn about conservation efforts and visit the Elephant Breeding Center, where you can see baby elephants and learn about their care and protection.
  • Bird Watching: Chitwan is home to over 500 species of birds, making it a paradise for bird watchers. You’ll have the opportunity to spot various rare and exotic species.

These activities are designed to give you an immersive experience in the heart of Chitwan’s rich natural heritage. After each day of safari adventures, return to the hotel for dinner and relaxation.

Day 06: Return to Kathmandu

After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Chitwan and either drive or fly back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will have some free time for shopping and exploring the local markets for souvenirs. Your guide can assist you with recommendations for places to shop, from local handicrafts to traditional Nepalese items.

Later in the day, you’ll be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward flight to your next destination, bringing your memorable tour of Kathmandu and Chitwan to a close.
