Itinerary
Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel. After checking in, relax and prepare for the exciting journey ahead.
Explore the rich cultural heritage of Kathmandu with a sightseeing tour. Visit key landmarks such as Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. In the afternoon, meet with your trekking guide to finalize preparations for the trek.
After breakfast, board a bus for a scenic drive to Arughat Bazaar (approximately 6-7 hours). This is the starting point of your trek, where you can get a feel for the rural landscapes of Nepal.
Begin your trek with a steady climb to Machha Khola (approximately 6-7 hours). The trail winds through lush forests and traditional villages, offering beautiful views of the surrounding landscapes.
On this day, you will trek to Yaru Khola, crossing rivers, passing through dense forests, and continuing to enjoy the peace and tranquility of rural Nepal.
The trek continues to Lokpa, a remote village where you can observe the changing landscapes as you head further into the Tsum Valley. The path offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.
Trek to Chumling, the gateway to Lower Tsum Valley. Along the way, you will pass by typical Tsum Valley villages, gompas, and sacred sites, giving you a glimpse into the region’s rich culture.
As you ascend into Upper Tsum Valley, you will arrive at Chhokangparo, where you can explore Tibetan Buddhist monasteries and enjoy panoramic views of the Manaslu Himal and Ganesh Himal ranges.
Continue trekking to Nile/Chhule, two of the highest settlements in the Tsum Valley. En route, visit the Milarepa Piren Phu Cave, a sacred site for Buddhists, which is historically significant for the great yogi Milarepa.
From Nile/Chhule, trek to Mu Gompa, the largest monastery in the Tsum Valley. After exploring the monastery, take a short hike to Dhephyudonma Gompa (4060 m), another spiritual site with breathtaking views.
Head back towards Rachen Gompa, an important religious site. On the way, stop at Gonhgye Gompa, belonging to the Nyigma-pa Buddhist sect, known for its tranquil setting and spiritual significance.
Trek from Rachen Gompa to Dumje, passing through remote areas and picturesque landscapes. The path takes you through traditional villages and forests, offering an opportunity to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the region.
The trek continues as you descend towards Philim, crossing Ripchet village along the way. Philim is a significant village where trekkers can rest, interact with locals, and enjoy the serene atmosphere.
Trek to Tatopani, known for its natural hot springs. After several days of trekking, this will be the perfect place to relax and soak in the therapeutic hot springs, rejuvenating your body and mind.
From Tatopani, you will trek to Lapubeshi, a village nestled in the foothills. The trek continues through forests and villages, with the majestic mountain views providing a stunning backdrop.
The final leg of the trek brings you back to Arughat Bazaar. You will pass through villages and lush valleys as you retrace the steps back to your starting point.
From Arughat Bazaar, board a bus back to Kathmandu, where you can reflect on the incredible journey you’ve just completed. The drive back offers beautiful views of the countryside.
On the final day of your trip, you will depart from Kathmandu and continue on your onward journey, whether it’s returning home or exploring more of Nepal
