Trekking Seasons in Nepal

The best trekking seasons are from March to April and October to November. October and November are particularly ideal as the rainy season ends, offering clear skies and stunning views of the Himalayas. However, these months are also the most crowded due to high numbers of trekkers.

From December to February, the weather is very cold, with snow at higher altitudes and many lodges closed, requiring extra preparation for the cold.

Temperatures rise from March to early May, and during March and April, trekkers can enjoy the sight of rhododendrons blooming on the mountains. From mid-May to September, the rainy season makes it difficult to see the Himalayas, and trekkers should be cautious of leeches.
