The Mardi Himal Trek is a moderately challenging adventure in Nepal that takes you through the stunning Annapurna Conservation Area to the Mardi Himal Base Camp. Starting and ending in the picturesque city of Pokhara, this trek passes through charming villages like Dhampus and Pothana, offering an authentic glimpse into local life. While the trek is considered moderately difficult, it is suitable for those with a reasonable level of fitness and prior hiking experience.

Along the route, trekkers are rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the Annapurna mountain range, lush forests, deep valleys, and diverse wildlife. The Mardi Himal Base Camp, situated at an altitude of 4,500 meters, provides stunning vistas of iconic peaks like Annapurna SouthMacchapucchre (Fishtail), and Hiunchuli.

The ideal times to embark on the Mardi Himal Trek are during the pre-monsoon months of March to May and the post-monsoon months of September to December, when the weather is clear, and the views are at their best.

Itinerary

Day 01 :
Arrival in Kathmandu

Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. Meet our representative and transfer to your hotel.

Day 02 :
Kathmandu City Tour & Trekking Preparation

Explore Kathmandu’s cultural and historic landmarks, including the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Meet your trekking guide for an introduction and final preparation for the trek.

Day 03 :
Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara

Take a scenic 6-hour drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara by tourist bus. Enjoy views of the countryside, rivers, and hills along the way.

Day 04 :
Drive from Pokhara to Kande, Trek to Forest Camp

Drive 1 hour to Kande (1750m). Start your trek to Forest Camp (2550m), a 4-6 hour journey with an altitude gain of 800m. Overnight at Forest Camp.

Day 05 :
Trek from Forest Camp to Low Camp

Trek for 3-4 hours to reach Low Camp (2990m), with an altitude gain of 440m. Enjoy views of the surrounding mountains and lush landscapes.

Day 06 :
Trek from Low Camp to High Camp

Trek for 4-6 hours from Low Camp to High Camp (3580m), with an altitude gain of 590m. Overnight at High Camp, where you will begin to see stunning views of Mardi Himal and Annapurna South.

Day 07 :
Trek to Mardi Himal Base Camp, Return to High Camp

Trek from High Camp to Mardi Himal Base Camp (4450m), a 6-7 hour journey. After spending some time at the base camp, return to High Camp for the night.

Day 08 :
Trek from High Camp to Sidhing

Trek down from High Camp to Sidhing (1885m), a 4-6 hour trek with a descent of 495m. Enjoy the peaceful mountain surroundings on the way.

Day 09 :
Trek from Sidhing to Lwang

Continue your trek to Lwang (1460m), taking 4-6 hours with an altitude gain of 425m. Immerse yourself in the local culture and traditional villages.

Day 10 :
Trek from Lwang to Hyangiakot, Then to Banskot

Trek for 4-6 hours from Lwang to Hyangiakot (1545m). Descend to the road at Banskot (1100m) to catch your transport.

Day 11 :
Drive Back to Pokhara

Drive back to Pokhara, a 4-hour journey. Rest and relax at your hotel in Pokhara.

Day 12 :
Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu

Take a 6-7 hour drive back to Kathmandu by tourist bus. Free time to explore the city upon arrival.

Day 13 :
Rest Day and Departure Shopping

Rest and relax after your trek. Spend time shopping for souvenirs or exploring the local markets.

Day 14 :
Departure

Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your flight to your next destination.
